When I was ten years old my father was killed instantly in a car accident. I didn’t know it then but that tragedy would impact the rest of my life. In spite of the heartache, I became aware that someone much bigger than my mom was with me and helping me in my life. We moved to be close to my mom’s parents. My mom was from a big family and seeing my grandparents, aunts, and uncles often was really nice. Mom met a wonderful gentleman and they fell in love and got married. Now I had two wonderful earthly fathers. One day when I was wondering about my dad, I decided to pray for the first time in my life. I asked God if my dad was alright. I didn’t hear anything or see anything but God communicated such an assurance to my heart that my dad was fine that I began praying to him every day. The kindness and mercy that God showed me caused me to want to do the same for others.
One day my husband and I bought a new construction spec home from a builder. Most everything was decided but the builder was very kind and let me make some final decisions. We remained in contact during our time in that city. When we found out that we were moving to Dallas, our builder friend mentioned that he had a friend out there that also was a builder and had I ever thought about working in new construction sales. I had never thought about it but ended up getting my real estate license in Texas in 1992 and have been helping sellers and buyers ever since with the largest decision that most people ever make. Their success is my success!
